    And so, if you want to learn Adobe After Effects and make cartoons with us, then you first of all will need the program Adobe After Effects. If you already have some After Effects, you can do not worry about anything - all what we teach in our lessons can be done in any version of AE. But if you have not any After Effects yet, then we suggest you’ll be better to begging your acquaintance with this wonderful program from version 7.0 This is very accessible and easy to learn version, have low system requirements, and works without problems on almost any computer. By interface and the basic principles of work, it is similar to the more modern versions of AE, and it is quite sufficient to create cartoons. And when you get comfortable in AE 7.0, then you can easy go to any more advanced After Effects.

   New Year 2020 is coming, and it is the great time to make New Year cartoons and greeting cards!
It has already become a good tradition for the General-Animation studio - to congratulate our friends on the New Year with animated greeting cards. And we choose it as the next assignment of our animation challenge. The approaching 2020 will be the year of the rat or mouse according to the Chinese horoscope, so the main characters of our greeting cards will be funny rats, mice and all kind of other cute rodents. We made some funny rodents already. But we will always be happy to see your own characters. Send us your works to take part in our animation challenge and help children in Africa.

    As practice shows that one, even a very cute dog, is clearly not enough to make a serious cartoon. Our students have recently been sending us more and more serious work. So I searched my archives and put together a small collection of funny dog models for animation so that students had something to work with. In this collection there is even a huge ferocious wolf with razor-sharp teeth! So I hope that very soon we will see a real action movie about the adventures of dogs, created by the efforts of our students.

   New Year is coming, and we are ready for its arrival! I made a model of the symbol of 2019 - a nice cute little pig. We will use this little pig in the coming year to create our animation lessons, as well as for new cartoons about our adventures in Africa. You have already seen this character in our fishing scene. It is great for creating beautiful New Year greeting cards.

   You can download the model of this cute piglet in PSD format. Do not forget that we also have a model of Piglet - a friend of Winnie the Pooh there. It also can be used to create New Year cards for the Year of the Pig. Make your merry Christmas cartoons, send it to us, and we will show it on our channel. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
